After Pearl Harbor the American involvement in the Second World War resulted in bitter fighting all over the Pacific. No one was quite sure how American prisoners were being treated, but the single-minded patriotism shown by suicide pilots gave the Japanese a frightening reputation.
Liberating forces had established that local women were on occasions captured and put to work as prostitutes for the Japanese soldiers.
Sharon Williams and Anne Jackson are among a group of American soldiers, men and women, who are captured by a Japanese platoon. The men are forced to clear the jungle to build a road. The woman are used as sex slaves by the cruel, cynical Japanese commander, General Kotaya.
